4/3/08. New Album News.
Bob Catley has recently finished the recording of the vocals under the direction of producer Dennis Ward. Bob flew over to Germany at the end of January to sing on the songs written for his forthcoming solo album to be entitled “Immortal” by guitar ace Magnus Karlsson (Starbreaker, Allen / Lande). The album is currently being mixed and the record is taking shape as one of the strongest ever from the Magnum singer. Some of the song titles include: Light Up My Way, You Are My Star, One More Night, End of The World, We Are Immortal, Haunted, The Searcher, War In Heaven, The Throne. The album is planned for release in September 2008. Stay tuned for more updates.

17/12/07. Tobias Sammet's Lost In Space Rockets straight Into The Charts (Bob Catley Guest Vocals)
On January 25th 2008 the new Avantasia album 'The Scarecrow' will be released. The pre-album EPs 'Lost In Space 1 & 2' have been released in November and instantly rocketed into the to the official single charts in various countries (Germany #9, Sweden #3 and #4, Norway #4, Austria #48, France #66...) Bob Catley is one of the guest vocalist on 'Lost In Space, Part 1' and will also be on the forthcoming 'The Scarecrow'

13/9/07. The Chance To Bid On A Marshall Amp Dab Radio Signed By Bob Catley!
Planet Rock, the UK’s classic rock station has partnered up with Pure Digital, Marshall Amps and Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy charity to launch Rockstarradios.com. These Planet Rock / Marshall DAB radios have been signed by some of rocks biggest artists including Bob Catley with the goal to raise as much money as possible for the Nordoff Robbins charity.
The radios will go to auction throughout the month of October 2007

12/9/07. Bob Catley - Guest vocalist on the forthcoming Ayreon Album.
Bob Catley flew in from England last week to The Electric Castle in Holland where he has joined the cast of the new Ayreon Album which already includes King's X guitarist Ty Tabor, ex-Masterplan
singer Jorn Lande, Epica's Simone Simons and The Gathering frontwoman Anneke van Giersbergen.

10/8/07. Bob Catley's 6th Solo Album.
Work is currently underway on Bob Catley's 6th solo album, the album as yet untitled is being written by Magnus Karlsson and will be produced by Dennis Ward (of Pink Cream 69) the album will be released on Frontiers Records, release date to be announced.
MAGNUS KARLSSON
The STARBREAKER guitar player has been quite busy in the past few months. After completing the songwriting and production for the second ALLEN / LANDE instalment “The Revenge”, Magnus has completed a brand new record with ex YNGWIE MALMSTEEN and RING OF FIRE singer MARK BOALS on all lead vocals. This new album, entitled THE CODEX is going to be a slightly heavier affair compared to the most recent efforts from Magnus and will showcase Boals’ return on the scene after a 3 years hiatus. Release for this incredible record is tentatively scheduled for December 07. Stay tuned for more details.
Not content with this, Karlsson is already in very advanced stages for the songwriting of the sixth BOB CATLEY solo album. For this record Magnus dug deep in his Celtic and Epic Hard Rock influences and gave the material anyway an heavier edge, similar in places to Catley’s “When Empires Burn” with obvious hints to MAGNUM sound. Production for the album will be handled by none other than Dennis Ward.

2/7/07. Bob Catley To Work With Tobias Sammet Again!
We are very happy to announce that Bob Catley has been confirmed for a guest appearance on his good friend Tobias Sammet's new album of his Rock-operatic AVANTASIA project. The album will have the title "The Scarecrow". Bob was a guest vocalist on Avantasia - The Metal Opera Pt. II in 2002 in which he played the part of 'The Tree Of Knowledge'!
Tobias has just returned from a trip to England where he did vocal sessions with Bob Catley, lead vocalist of British Epic Rock legend "Magnum", for the upcoming "Avantasia - The Scarecrow" release. Bob Catley had been guest starring on "Avantasia - The Metal Opera pt 2" in 2002 as well.
"Bob is one of the nicest people I've ever met. He's a great singer and true friend. Magnum have always been an incredible influence for me. Magnum producer Mark Stuart tracked and recorded the session at Madhat-Studio in Wolverhampton where the new Magnum Album "Princess Alice And The Broken Arrow" had been recorded as well.
